I saw this adorable brooch in Pink & Lilly (Hockley Nottingham) and loved it straight away due to my fixation of Custard Creams (Perfect biscuit for tea dipping don't you agree??).
However due to my attempts to start saving I held back. After landing a new job my boyfriend bought it for me as a present and now I wear it to work all the time...
Not a Custard Cream lover? Well they also had party rings and jammy dodgers!

THE SEARCH IS ON
Starting back at University next week - can not wait! I hate not having busy days and schedules - my diary is looking very bare and its killing me. I need deadlines, rushing around from my part-time job to lectures and then off to a zumba class, I need to feel like I'm doing something and not just wasting my days drinking tea. Which is funny, as I know when I will be rushing around and doing everything - the one thing that I will want more than anything else is a good cuppa tea and to put my feet up.
Knowing full well that I will be out every week day from 9 till 6 starting from next week, my hunt is on for the perfect bag. I am sick of carting round 3 bags - I want a classic bag which is good quality - meaning that the handles wont snap after just a few weeks. I am on the prowl for something that will fit my gym kit in, lunch, camera and laptop.
I am worried that my quest for practicality will lead me to the un-chicest thing that hangs off one's arm. I do not want fashion - I want a practical, classic and chic handbag. And I do not want to look like a year seven again - I will never recover from the fact that my mother ( I love you dearly, but really?) sent me to high school with a HOLDALL as a P.E. bag, the poor teachers thought I was moving in.
So I have decided to ask for an early Christmas present, and I am currently in the process of creating a moodboard for my mother on what my bag should look like - I have already decided it needs to be either black or brown. No colour blocking trend for this purchase.
I have high hopes. Take a look at some ideas I will put forward to mother tonight after tea. Hopefully she will be in a good mood, if not I may have to rethink.
Really want a cambridge Batchel - A satchel but with a small handal on the top!
Love the fluro one.

The Imitation of Christ
Jill Stuart
Some of my favourite looks of NY fashion week S/S 2012 (more to come), I absolutely loved Jill Stuart's range for next summer, a brand that I had never heard of before flicking through Style.com at all the lovely lovely clothes for summer 2012 (if we get one next year). Just as I am getting into my Winter 2011/12 wish list with the help of all the highstreet fashion editions out, and I see all these pictures for the warmer days of the year! Makes me wanna drop kick my chunky knits and new trench out of my third flat floor window and concentrate on the fashion candy up for grabs in six months.
Imitation of christ's show set looks aaaammmazzzingg, and very decorative - something you don't really see in NY, I often feel that NY fashion is the most conservative of the lot - in design and the whole feel and look of the show. Jason Wu's collection looked pretty awesome too.
Like I said more to come!

D.I.Y. Nails
I LOVE nail art and I HATE scruffy nails. However on a student budget I can't afford to get my nails done often even though I would like to so I thought I would start a regular post where I show you lots of ways to paint your nails on the cheap side!
How to do:
Put a base coat on - which ever colour you like however I think dark colours work better as you can see the contrast better.
Next use a clear sparkly nail varnish and add a layer on each nail then continue this but start from higher up the nail so the tips are a lot more sparkly.

One Day...
Review – One Day
by David Nicholls (Novel)
If you want to be left sitting in a pool of your own tears,
and screaming ‘WHY’ at the top of your voice, then you need to read One Day by
David Nicholls. Brilliantly written, Nicholls tells the story of the
relationship between Dexter and Emma over twenty years. Full of missed
opportunities and when-are-they-gonna-get-it-on moments, it’s the perfect
romantic modern novel which defines a generation. The reason why One Day has
been such a success is because it is a novel anyone can relate to, as
ultimately it’s a story about lost love. But more importantly it’s honest,
Nicholls doesn’t paint a rosy view on love and relationships, he shows them for
what they are – hard work and a lot of slip ups. It’s a story about love in the
real world, not in some film set where the happy ending has already been
written.
The most important thing I took away from reading One Day is
that you never know what is going to happen, and that you should never
consistently put off doing things, as one day, it may be too late and you will
probably end up regretting it for the rest of your life.
