You can not get greater than the eccentric Piaggi, who owns the world of fashion left, right and centre. She may not be the new 'IT' girl which normally defines cool, but this woman has been in the industry for the long haul, a constant style icon of the 21st Century.

Vogue Italia - Nov 2010 - 3
All these images from Vogue Italia highlight the exact reason why I love flicking through it every month... The photoshoots are braver and more exciting than UK or American Vogue, they always have such a variety of photoshoots with their magazine!

Fashion Film
I absolutely adore this short film by Ellen von Unwerth featuring Eva Mendes, which was shot exclusively for Vs Magazine. The film focuses in on the dark and crazy side of fame and fortune, I love the scene where Eva is smoking.

Trend Alert: Hand drawn
I first saw this trend in NY where in Chanel's window displays were hand drawn pictures signed by Karl Lagerfeld, I then spotted it in WWD 100 years where a Ralph Lauren advertisement was hand drawn. Both the drawings have been drawn using the same texture and crayon feel...
Knitting in Knottingham
Ever heard of yarn bombing or knitting graffiti?

Graffiti knitting is much more friendly and colourful than the standard, scrawl upon a wall informing us that such and such were here in 2005 don't you think? I think yarn bombing should definitely catch on.
If you have any pictures of your own knitting please post any on here :)

My Style Inspiration...
My Fashion Obsession
As you will get to know me, you will soon see how obsessed I am about the fifties and sixties! Everything about those two decades I absolutely love, from the fashion, to the music and society overall. No other era has seemed more vibrant and exciting, and I recommend 'Never Had It So Good' by Dominic Sandbrook to anyone who would love to know more about the 50s and 60s. If any of you have any recommendations please feel free to post and comment anything, I'm always looking for different sources of information I can draw inspiration from.

My love of the 50s and 60s came from my grandma and granddad, flicking through their photographs of when they were young is one of my favourite things to do, and here are some I would like to share with all of you...
My grandma on her first holiday with a friend |
At the factory where my grandma worked |
With their pet monkey |
Party! |
At the beach |
My grandma and Granddad's wedding |
My granddad's Jaguar when he crashed it |
My granddad and friends walking to a wedding |
